At **Budo Fight**, find a wide range of **tantos for Aikido, Ju-Jitsu, Krav Maga, and martial arts**, available in different materials and formats to suit your training needs. ## What is a training tanto? The **tanto** is historically a short Japanese blade. For martial arts training, practitioners mainly use replicas specifically designed for practice, without a sharp edge. Depending on the discipline, the training tanto can be used for various technical drills performed solo or with a partner. ## Wooden tanto for martial arts The **wooden tanto**, or tanto bokken, is commonly used in certain Japanese martial arts. Its design allows you to practice movements and technical exercises safely, without using a real blade. The shape, length, weight, and type of wood may vary depending on the model. To choose your tanto, refer to your instructor’s recommendations and the requirements of your discipline. ## Rubber tanto and flexible models **Rubber tantos or flexible models** are intended for specific partner drills. They are often used in various self-defense disciplines and some Ju-Jitsu or Krav Maga training sessions. The flexibility and dimensions of the model should be suited to the exercises performed and the experience level of the practitioners. ## How to choose your tanto? Choosing a **training tanto** depends primarily on your discipline and intended use. For Japanese martial arts, a wooden model may be recommended, while a flexible tanto is better suited for other types of drills. Consider the material, dimensions, weight, and grip. If in doubt, ask your instructor for advice to select a model that matches your training needs. ## Find your tantos at Budo Fight Discover our selection of **martial arts and training tantos** at Budo Fight.
