Well known among contact karate enthusiasts, a karate chest guard is a **protective gear** worn under a karate gi. It absorbs and disperses the impact from your opponent’s strikes. It also lets your skin breathe and efficiently wicks away sweat. **Did you know?** Karate chest guards are unisex (no difference between men’s and women’s models). The same goes for [karate uniforms](https://www.budo-fight.com/en/catalog/karate) in general! ## Why use a WKF karate chest guard? WKF karate chest guards are approved for **national and international competition**. They have been declared compliant with the rules of the **World Karate Federation**. Without WKF-certified karate protection, you won’t be able to participate in many tournaments! Reversible WKF karate chest guards also make it easy to distinguish opponents during matches. **This karate protection is FFK approved and** **can be used in official competition.** **Our size guide for karate shin & foot guards:** - XS: shoe size up to 36 - S: shoe size 37 - 38 - M: shoe size 39 - 40 - L: shoe size 41 - 42 - XL: shoe size 43 - 44 - XXL: shoe size 45 - 46 and above **Our size guide for karate gloves:** - XS: under 60 kg - S: 60 to 65 kg - M: 65 to 75 kg - L: 75 to 85 kg - XL: over 85 kg **To ensure the right size for the karate headgear, measure your head circumference at the forehead:** - S: up to 52 cm - M: 53-57 cm - L: 58 cm and above **To ensure the right size for the karate chest guard, use your height:** - XS: up to 135 cm - S: up to 145 cm - M: up to 155 cm - L: up to 165 cm - XL: up to 180 cm Technical features and care - Brand : [Budo-Fight](https://www.budo-fight.com/en/brands/budo-fight) Our ambassadors 1 [ ![Gwendoline Philippe](https://www.budo-fight.com/storage/media/14129/conversions/gwendoline-philippe-XvNA3-card.webp) Gwendoline Philippe ](https://www.budo-fight.com/en/our-athletes/gwendoline-philippe "Gwendoline Philippe") Shipping & Returns Shipping and returns information coming soon.
