# Size Guide - Rivat Shoes

Not sure about your **RIVAT shoe size**? **Budo-Fight**, your combat sports and martial arts expert, shares its **tip** for finding the right size:

Measurements should be taken **after physical activity**, so your foot will be at its maximum volume. You can also ask someone to help you take the measurements.

- First, choose your stronger foot (length / width). If you don't know which one it is, we recommend measuring both feet and using the larger one as your reference.
- Stand in socks or barefoot on a piece of stiff paper (on a hard surface, not on carpet or a soft surface). Make sure your heel is pressed down and your foot is flat on the paper, with your weight evenly distributed on both feet.
- Draw a line at the tip of your toes and another at the back of your heel, or trace the outline of your foot.
- Measure the longest distance in cm between the two marks (longest toe).
- This gives you the length of your foot in centimeters.
- Now simply match your total measurement to the chart below to find your theoretical shoe size.

Your sport requires **high precision** and optimal feel. For this reason, the shape, volume, and sole are designed to fit **close to the foot**. If you are between two sizes, it is recommended to choose the larger size. Our shoes are built on a technical last **specifically designed** for savate French boxing. They do not fit like street shoes or sneakers, but more like a **slipper** (in general, our customers choose the **next size up** from their street shoe size). Foot volume can also affect your size: if you have a high instep, make sure it fits comfortably in the shoe. Some shoes are better suited for **wider** feet. Check the product descriptions for details.

**IMPORTANT**: If you need to use an **orthotic** (orthopedic insole), it **must absolutely and exclusively** be adapted to your savate French boxing shoe.
