With its thick fabric, **kata-specific short cut**, and powerful *snap*, this karate gi is designed for karatekas seeking a traditional uniform that offers structure, durability, and freedom of movement. Directly imported from Japan, the **Shureido TK-10 gi** continues the craftsmanship of the renowned Okinawa-based brand, the historical birthplace of karate. **Budo-Fight, exclusive distributor of Shureido in Europe**, also allows you to customize your TK-10 by choosing the jacket and pants sizes separately for a karate gi that fits your body type perfectly. ## Shureido TK-10: a traditional karate gi for kata The **Shureido Tournament TK-10** is especially suited for intensive practitioners, instructors, and karatekas looking for a **traditional kata gi**. Its thick **100% cotton** fabric provides the structure needed for technique execution while maintaining the comfort and freedom of movement essential for practice. Its **kata cut with short sleeves** highlights the karateka’s stances and movements. The robust construction of the TK-10 also meets the demands of regular and intensive training. The result: a **traditional Japanese karate gi**, designed for practitioners who appreciate the feel and structure of a 100% cotton karate gi. ## Powerful snap effect to enhance your katas One of the standout features of the **Shureido TK-10** is its ***crisp and powerful snap effect***. During fast movements and techniques, the fabric follows the motion with a **distinctive sharp snap characteristic of kata gi**. This effect visually and audibly emphasizes the speed and precision of your techniques. Combined with the short sleeve cut and fabric structure, this *snap* delivers the unique sensations that make the **Tournament TK-10 a gi especially appreciated for kata practice**. ## A Shureido gi in 100% cotton The **TK-10 is crafted from premium 100% cotton**. This composition is one of the main differences from competition karate gis that use cotton and synthetic blends. The cotton gives the TK-10 the feel, structure, and sensations sought by karatekas who value a **traditional karate gi**. Its robust fabric also features the **slightly bluish white color characteristic of Shureido**. The seams are double-stitched to provide the durability needed for intensive and prolonged use. ## A Japanese karate gi made in Okinawa The **Shureido Tournament TK-10 is made in Japan** by a brand deeply connected to Okinawa and the history of karate. Shureido has earned the trust of generations of practitioners thanks to its karate gis and equipment dedicated to traditional karate. The TK-10 fully embodies this philosophy: a minimalist design, 100% cotton fabric, a cut designed for kata, and special attention to finishing details. For practitioners seeking an **authentic, traditional Japanese karate gi**, this origin is a key feature of the Tournament TK-10. ## Customize your Shureido TK-10 with two different sizes A standard karate gi does not always fit every karateka’s body type perfectly. At Budo-Fight, you can **choose the jacket and pants sizes of your Shureido TK-10 separately**. This option is especially useful for practitioners who, for example, need a larger jacket or shorter pants. This way, you can create a **Shureido Tournament TK-10 that fits your body type more precisely**, instead of being limited to a single size for the entire gi. ## Features of the Shureido Tournament TK-10 - **Brand: Shureido** - **Model: Tournament TK-10** - **Type: karate gi / kata karate gi** - **Use: kata and intensive training** - **Made in: Japan** - **Composition: 100% cotton** - **Thick and durable fabric** - **Color: slightly bluish white** - **Kata-specific cut** - **Short sleeves** - **Crisp and powerful snap effect** - **Double-stitched seams for extra durability** - **Internal drawstrings** - **Embroidered Shureido logo at the neck** - **Jacket and pants available separately to adjust sizing** ## Who is the Shureido TK-10 for? The **Shureido Tournament TK-10** is especially designed for karatekas seeking a **traditional kata gi in 100% cotton**. It is ideal for regular and intensive practitioners, instructors, and advanced karatekas who appreciate a thick, structured fabric with a pronounced *snap effect*. It is also a great choice for those dedicated to **traditional Japanese karate** who prefer a cotton gi over a polycotton fabric. ## Shureido TK-10 or Shureido New Wave NW-3: which should you choose? Both the **Shureido Tournament TK-10 and New Wave NW-3** are designed for kata practice, but they meet different needs. The **Tournament TK-10** focuses on a traditional approach with its **100% cotton fabric**, thickness, and the feel of a traditional Japanese karate gi. [The New Wave NW-3](https://www.budo-fight.com/en/product/shureido-new-wave-3-nw-3-kata-karate-gi) uses a polycotton fabric and is **WKF approved**, making it ideal for karatekas looking for a Shureido gi suitable for competitions under WKF regulations. The TK-10 is perfect for practitioners who value **cotton, tradition, and the feel of the fabric**, while the NW-3 is better suited for those focused on WKF competition needs. ## Why buy your Shureido TK-10 from Budo-Fight? **Budo-Fight is the exclusive distributor of Shureido in Europe** and gives you access to karate gis from this famous Japanese brand, directly imported from Japan. When you choose your **Shureido Tournament TK-10 from Budo-Fight**, you also benefit from the option to **select the jacket and pants sizes independently**. You’ll enjoy a genuine **Shureido 100% cotton karate gi**, made in Japan and designed for demanding practitioners seeking a traditional, robust, and durable kata gi. ## Shureido TK-10 or Budo-Fight Ippon Kata? Also discover the [Budo-Fight Ippon Kata Cut](https://www.budo-fight.com/en/product/ippon-kata-karate-gi), an alternative to the Shureido TK-10 for karatekas wanting to compare different ranges and price levels. Super produit super boutique, attention taille tres grand 4 years ago 1. The Shureido tournament is simply stunning with its slightly bluish colour and short sleeve cut. It looks fantastic! 2. Budo Fight delivered within 36 hours during the Christmas period, hats off. 3. Be careful, Shureido sizes run very large, do not rely on the recommended sizes. My son, 20 years old, 182cm tall, with a slim, tall build: we took size 4 for both top and bottom, and it's perfect. For a sturdy adult between 180-185cm, I would go for 4.5 or even 5, but definitely not more. In any case, Budo Fight is a really trustworthy site that I recommend. Parfait (mais attention taille grand)! 5 years ago I am 163cm tall and weigh 59kg (normal build). I ordered a 165cm kimono to have it "adjusted," but I had to return it and ultimately went for a 160cm. There were already some comments from buyers along these lines, but I preferred to go with the 165cm despite everything; in the end, they were right — the Shureido Tournament fits very large! The BudoFight team was fantastic. The kimono is comfortable, made from high-quality, striking fabric, perfect! I am delighted with the kimono and can't wait to wear it (COVID). I am 1.68m tall, size 38, shoulder width 55. I ordered the 3.5 based on BF's advice and it fits perfectly. The trousers are a bit wide and long (around the ankles), I would recommend size 3 but it's fine... I appreciate the availability and the warm welcome from customer service. The only issue is that I didn't receive the black belt key holder — I forgot it. Congratulations to you and thank you BUDOFIGHT, stay safe. Best regards. View original View translation **NICOLAS C.** I recommend this product KB Premium quality... Du très haut de gamme... 6 years ago Having switched from Kamikaze to Shureido (after hearing so many good things for quite some time), I am more than pleasantly surprised. Let’s start from the beginning: careful packaging, karate gi made from exceptional fabric, perfect fit with a shortened cut for kata, it really "packs a punch" with the first movements and surprisingly, it seems quite versatile (for kata and kumite) because even though it is fairly heavy, the fabric is quite flexible and allows for great freedom of movement!! Shureido, the best!! View original View translation **KÉVIN BASTIEN** I recommend this product S Alright, but it runs large. Très bien mais taille grand 6 years ago I am 1.80m tall and bought this karategi in size 1.75m, and it is quite loose on me. I should have gone for the 1.70m size. I'm not sure if it's because I am very slim, but if anyone is in the same situation, I hope my comment will help you. It might shrink a little after washing. Otherwise, it’s not as heavy as I feared, and it has a slight bluish tint, which feels a bit strange if you're not used to it, but it’s not bothersome. The sleeves are short, which I appreciate. I would have liked it to be shorter on the legs, but it’s okay. It looks very sturdy and it makes a good impression, hence my rating.
