Boxing is a **combat sport** that requires several accessories such as **boxing gloves**, **boxing shorts**, **hand wraps**, **boxing shoes**, and a **punching bag**. These accessories are often essential to approach every fight with confidence. The Budo-Fight team is here to help you make the right choice when it comes to boxing shoes! ### What Are Boxing Shoes For? When you practice boxing, you are constantly moving and putting a lot of strain on the muscles and joints in your legs. Your body weight bounces repeatedly on your feet, especially your **ankles**. In some cases, your feet are also used to deliver strikes. Proper shoes are essential to **protect your opponent**! It’s also very important in boxing to have **good foot positioning**, generally staying on the balls of your feet, to facilitate movement. For all these reasons, boxing requires shoes specifically designed for the sport. Otherwise, you may encounter several issues: - Injuries (to you or your opponent) - Back pain - Discomfort throughout the fight Choosing the right boxing shoes helps you avoid all these problems and puts you in the best possible condition to face your opponent! ### What Type of Boxing Shoes Should You Choose? The choice of boxing shoes depends on several factors: - The type of boxing you practice - Your skill level - Your foot size - Your foot shape #### Which Shoes for Which Type of Boxing? First, you need to determine which type of boxing you want to practice. There are several types of boxing: you can check out our page dedicated to **[the history of boxing and the different styles](https://www.budo-fight.com/en/catalog/boxing)** to learn more.
